Made by Classroom Sounds in Worcestershire, UK. No audio is ever recorded, stored or transmitted.

Holly glows so the whole room can see.

Holly spends its first week learning what normal sounds like in your room. Then its lamp glows green, amber or red, so everyone can see the level at a glance and settle together.

Holly also measures temperature, humidity and air pressure.

The room is the subject, never the teacher. No scores. No ranking of teachers.

The class settles itself.

Children can see the level for themselves and bring it back down, without the teacher stopping the lesson. A calm spell earns the class a Quiet Reward, so settling becomes something the class does together.

School leaders get simple weekly reports on each room, so you can see which rooms and times of day run lively, and plan around them.

Holly maps your whole building.

Every Holly measures temperature, humidity and pressure in its room. Together they build a live map of your school, so you can see which rooms run warm or cool.

Classroom Sounds accounts are for school staff

  • For staff at schools that use Holly.
  • Your account is set up by your school's site admin.
  • Every account uses two-step sign-in.
  • The app is not for pupils or parents.

The app notifies you about alerts and drills raised by authorised staff at your own school.

To receive alerts, your phone needs signal or Wi-Fi, and charge.

We ask the right questions. Your school writes the answers, because we have never seen your rooms.

Your school’s paperwork and the evidence that goes with it. Staff can read it on the Classroom Sounds app, and open procedures from the alert screen.

What the law asks of schools

Martyn’s Law is expected to come into force in spring 2027. Schools with 200 or more people on site are standard tier. They must tell the SIA who is responsible, and have procedures for evacuation, invacuation, lockdown and communication.

Schools submit no documents, but may be asked to show them.

Who can see what

A school can mark a document as sensitive, such as a lockdown procedure naming safe rooms. Only staff who can raise an alert can open it. Everyone else can still see it exists.

What it is not

It does not make a school compliant with Martyn’s Law or anything else. We do not write your procedures, and templates are starting points. Holly does not detect fire alarms.

Classroom Sounds is a Worcestershire company, part of the same family as Chestnut Infrastructure, which looks after IT for around 90 schools across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Dudley.

We built Holly because we spend our days in classrooms. It is being trialled in a Worcestershire primary school this term.
